Refund policy

Revision of 22 September 2026. It applies to the paid Skipper plan from the day it is on sale; the free app costs nothing and has nothing to refund.

Two ways to get your money back

There are two separate ways, and you can use whichever suits you. One is a right the law gives you and we cannot touch. The other is a promise we make on top of it, voluntarily.

Your statutory right of withdrawal — 14 days

As a consumer in the EU you may withdraw from the subscription contract within 14 days of concluding it, without giving any reason. This is your right under § 355 BGB; nothing on this page and nothing in our Terms of Use limits it.

Everything you need is on the Right of withdrawal page: the statutory instruction, the model withdrawal form, and the online withdrawal function (§ 356a BGB).

One honest detail: at checkout you tick a box asking us to start the service immediately, before the 14 days are over. That is what lets you use the plan the same minute you subscribe. If you then withdraw, you owe a proportionate amount for the days you actually used (§ 357a Abs. 2 BGB) — and once the contract has been performed in full, the withdrawal right ends (§ 356 Abs. 5 Nr. 2 BGB). For a monthly subscription withdrawn after a few days, that proportionate amount is a small fraction of the month.

Our voluntary money-back guarantee — 30 days

This is a guarantee within the meaning of § 479 BGB. Its terms, in full:

  • Guarantor: Ivan Chabanenko, a sole trader (Einzelunternehmen), Lutherstraße 12, 39112 Magdeburg, Germany — the same person named in our Impressum.
  • What it covers: the full amount you paid for your Skipper plan, refunded in full — not pro-rated, and with no deduction for what you used.
  • Period: 30 days from the day your first payment is taken.
  • Territory: worldwide. It applies wherever you are.
  • Conditions: one email. You do not have to explain yourself, fill in a form or talk to anyone first.
  • How to claim: write to support-skipper@chbnk.one from the address you ordered with, saying you want the guarantee.
  • Your statutory rights are not restricted by this guarantee. Your 14-day right of withdrawal and your rights if the service is defective (§§ 327 ff. BGB) exist in addition to it and are unaffected by it.

Which one should you use

  • Within the first 14 days — either works. The guarantee gives you everything back; withdrawal leaves you owing a proportionate amount for the days used. So the guarantee is usually the better deal, and we will tell you so if you ask for the wrong one.
  • Between day 15 and day 30 — the guarantee.
  • After 30 days — neither, but you can cancel at any moment and you keep the plan until the end of the period you have paid for. If the service was actually defective, your statutory rights under §§ 327 ff. BGB still apply and are not limited to any 30 days.

How the money comes back

We refund to the same payment method you used, at no cost to you. We start the refund without undue delay and in any case within 14 days of receiving your request — that deadline is the statutory one and we apply it to the voluntary guarantee too. How quickly it then appears on your statement is up to your bank or card issuer, typically a few working days.

Renewals, trials and cancellations

  • If the plan comes with a free trial, cancelling before it ends means no payment is taken at all — there is nothing to refund.
  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not, on its own, refund the period you are in: you keep the plan until that period ends. Use the guarantee above if you want the money back instead.
  • If we cause the problem — an outage, a defect, a limit we set wrongly — tell us. The section on defects in the Terms of Use and § 536 BGB apply, and a fee reduction there is not capped at 30 days.
