In short

The site sets no cookies. It loads no analytics, no advertising, no embedded video, no third-party fonts and no third-party scripts. The only thing it ever writes to your browser is your answer to the cookie notice, so that the notice does not come back on every page.

What is stored, and why

• Your choice in the cookie notice. One entry in your browser's local storage (skipper.consent): that you have seen the notice, and when. It is strictly necessary to honour your choice, so it needs no consent (§ 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG). It never leaves your browser and is not read by anything else.
• Nothing else. No session cookie, no identifier, no fingerprint.

What is not stored

• No analytics. We do not measure visits, clicks or scrolls, neither ourselves nor through a provider. If that ever changes, the notice will offer it as a separate category that is off until you switch it on, and this page will say what is collected.
• No advertising or cross-site tracking. There are no ad networks and no social buttons on this site.
• No third parties. Fonts are served from this site. The page checks the current version of Skipper by reading /updates/appcast.xml from this same server — an ordinary request without cookies.
• No access log. The web server that serves these pages keeps no access log, so your IP address is not written down when you read them. What the relay for Skipper Remote and the board links keeps is described in the privacy policy.

Your choices

The notice has one button to close it and one to open the settings, where the categories are listed. You can reopen the settings from the footer of any page. Clearing site data in your browser removes the stored choice, and the notice appears again.

Changes

If the site ever starts using anything that needs your consent, the notice will ask first, and the revision date at the top of this page will move.
